Front magazine, Picture Intern
Front magazine is looking for a talented Picture Intern to work on its busy picture desk. Interested?
We are looking for a keen and talented individual to help with all things photography related at Front.
Working across both the website and the magazine, you’ll be involved in all areas of Front, which could mean re-sizing images for the website one minute, and organizing a photo shoot with a music legend the next. This role will be hard work, but the rewards will be immense.
You will need to be creative, innovative, enthusiastic, and also have a thorough nature, a keen eye for detail, and be able to use your initiative.
The successful candidate will need to have reasonable technical knowledge of and interest in photography. Basic photographic studio skills as well as IT skill in Photoshop, Lightroom and Excel are required. Previous experience on a picture desk is desirable but not a necessity.
You don’t need to be a gnarly shredder, but a good understanding of the music, fashion and skate culture featured in Front is a must.
This is a paid position and applicants should be able to commit to a minimum period of three months, five days a week, although flexibility can be discussed for suitable candidates. Please note that while there is no guarantee of full-time employment at the end of your internship, this is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working individual to learn and impress. You’ll be working in the Front offices in sunny Soho, London.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter, explaining why you would like to work at Front and why you think you would be suitable, along with the earliest date you could start, to firstname.lastname@example.org, with ‘Picture Intern’ in the subject line.
