The Role
Bloomberg LP is seeking an experienced reporter with knowledge of the markets for high-yield bonds and leveraged loans to join Bloomberg Brief, our growing newsletter division. This person will need to be resourceful in finding insightful stories for an industry-focused publication backed by all the news and data resources of Bloomberg. Many of the stories will also be published on the Bloomberg Professional Service. This is an ideal position for someone knowledgeable and passionate about credit markets who thrives on deadline pressure. Bloomberg Brief publishes 14 newsletters that provide unique data, original content and commentary on topics ranging from Hedge Funds to Financial Regulation.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of three years of experience working at major newspapers, wire services, and/or financial newsletters
-Experience writing about credit on deadline
-Proficiency in Excel
-Contacts in credit and financial markets
-Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal a plus
