InfraAmericas, Reporter - New York

The Company 

InfraAmericas, an online news and data service is looking to hire a full time infrastructure finance reporter based in our New York office. You will be expected to provide 2-3 stories a day covering new transactions , mergers and acquisitions, significant business events and capital markets in the infrastructure sector. 

You will be required to quickly gain an understanding of the infrastructure finance market, be able to analyze trends, draw conclusions and produce high level copy. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in business or financial journalism and must be comfortable interviewing and developing contacts with senior level bankers, fund managers, investors and public sector officials. Experience of working within the corporate, structured and project finance or private equity industries would be advantageous, but more important is a hunger to learn and the ability to deliver well researched, well written exclusive stories.

You should be able to work unsupervised, meet agreed deadlines and produce excellent copy. You are expected to be in regular contact with the market both on the telephone and through face-to-face meetings.
