Capital Markets Reporter
The Business Section is looking for an experienced financial journalist to help cover China's fast-growing capital markets, with a focus on yuan-related assets. The candidate must have good written and spoken English, and have at least three years of experience in financial journalism. Cantonese and/or Mandarin a plus. The position is based in Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic team of reporters writing about developments in the financial-services industry in Hong Kong and on the mainland. He or she will be expected to produce breaking news and smart analysis on the offshore yuan market and yuan-related asset classes for print and online editions. The successful candidate also will be expected to stay abreast of global asset allocation trends and be able to relate them to the yuan market. The position offers travel as well as a chance to write long-form journalism.
