We’re looking for an experienced and highly adaptable Creative to partner the Development Editor on a newly-formed magazine team.
You’ll need to demonstrate an enthusiastic knowledge of the market, have a proven track record in creative magazine publishing, and be loaded with all the necessary skills and techniques of art editorship at this level.
Ideal candidates will be excellent at controlling all design aspects of concept creation and content delivery for both licensed and non-licensed magazines. Candidates must be well-versed in setting the design style and visual flavour of new products, and in overseeing the ongoing development and efficiencies of existing ones.
The role requires extensive experience as an Art Editor or above with manager/controller responsibilities, plus a significant track record showing many instances of product creation & shaping & development, brand building, project & people & process management, commissioning & outsourcing (including a top quality talent pool of suppliers and creative contacts), and high-level relationship building with licensors & rights owners.
You’ll also need to be armed with the hands-on talent to execute the complete magazine package from concept through to print. Advanced CS skills are essential.
