Living France is a market-leading magazine, published in the UK for a Francophile audience. Now in its 23rd year, Living France magazine is recognised for its ability to combine practical advice and inspirational features. It has developed a worldwide following and its circulation keeps on growing.

Leading and managing a well established editorial team based in Cheltenham, you will deliver the very best quality editorial content and design to readers of Living France magazine, its website and brand extensions every month. You will work alongside other editors in the portfolio to maximise advantages of creating tailored shared content, where appropriate, while maintaining a distinct Living France brand identity. Responsible for all brand extensions such as bookazines and supplements, apps, digital editions, you will also manage the editorial contributor’s budget and brand extension budgets.

Commercially astute, the successful candidate will be a trained writer/journalist with an in-depth knowledge of, and passion for, living in France, with a solid working knowledge of social media outlets as well as web familiarity. You will have a proven track record as a people manager/team leader, with experience of leading, developing and coaching an editorial team. Able to communicate with people at all levels, you express your ideas clearly and confidently, have the ability to influence people, actively listen and create trust with those around you. Flexible and adaptable, you think quickly on your feet and don’t give up when challenged. Experience as an editor is not required; however it will be helpful in order to demonstrate understanding and capability regarding the demands of this role.

There will be opportunities to travel in the UK and further afield to represent the magazine at events such as The France Show, introducing speakers, meeting advertisers, press officers etc, so a passport and driving licence are required.
