Secret Earth is a new upmarket online travel service launching in 2012. We are currently offering one, possibly two, work experience placements between now and the end of September for between one and three months.
The work would involve mainly data entry/uploading content, but also possibly some picture editing work and assisting with editorial. It will not the most exciting work, (although the premium travel content you will be working with will be interesting!).
What we can offer, however, is unrivalled, first hand experience with what we think will become one of the world’s the top digital travel content publishers, and exposure to cutting-edge expertise and leading thinking on the future of online travel. This would be invaluable for a future career in travel publishing and writing, experience that would not easily be gained anywhere else.
You will also be there to witness launching of a new company. You will be asked for your opinions on key decisions, and will be involved passively (and possibly actively) in the development of the company as it launches and grows.
This is voluntary work experience that will not involve payment. You will however receive an expense allowance of £10 per day. The office is based Marylebone, with 8 staff currently, including two experienced editors.
