Focus Editor – ELLE Decoration

Hearst Magazines UK is one of the UK’s leading multiplatform publishing businesses. Within the award winning Luxury Publishing Group, we are looking to recruit a Focus Editor to cover a maternity leave on ELLE Decoration.

The Focus section of ELLE Decoration provides a practical but inspirational look at one area of the home each issue. The role of the Focus Editor is to produce the entire content for this section. You will be expected to generate ideas, write copy, style shoots and work closely with the art team on layouts. You’ll also need to keep up to date with the latest looks and trends across all areas of the home, cover relevant trade shows, attend press appointments and manage the development of the Features Intern.

Successful candidates will have proven experience on a similar title, a passion for interiors and an up-to-date knowledge of the industry. You will have good press and photography contacts, demonstrable writing/journalistic abilities and experience styling shoots. You will also be a savvy picture researcher with the ability to think creatively within a fast-paced environment. You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail and good time-management skills.
