Construction News is seeking an experienced, ambitious journalist to join our team as news editor.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in this long-established, market-leading B2B brand, managing and developing a passionate and dynamic team and working on a magazine and website that has news at the forefront of everything it stands for.

The ideal candidate will be obsessed with current affairs, have a first-rate news-sense and be able to balance the demands of writing and news editing. You will thrive on the thrill of chasing stories and be an exemplary contact-builder.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the coverage of one of the UK’s most exciting industries, breaking stories on everything from iconic multi-million pound projects to huge corporate takeovers, a whole range of government policy and the outlook for the economy.

The construction industry contributes 8% to GDP, it employs millions of people and it will play a major part in the UK’s economic recovery.

Knowing how to get CN stories into the national press will be part of the job.
