The Stage - Reporter internship

The successful candidate will work on our news desk, producing stories for the newspaper, website plus other platforms and specialising in the live performing arts and entertainment.

To apply, you must have completed an NCTJ-accredited journalism course and been trained in news writing and press law, especially defamation. You must also demonstrate good knowledge of the industry. Note: this job does not involve feature writing or reviewing, or covering film and television.

The job is based at The Stage Media Group Ltd’s offices in Bermondsey Street, near London Bridge. Hours are c.40 hours p/w and include occasional evening work

This is a paid internship (£15k pro rata) because the successful applicant will be expected to produce regular news copy and we do not expect interns to work for nothing.

This internship will run for two months from the date of appointment.

Further employment opportunities may be available thereafter but this cannot be guaranteed.
