As Regional Press Officer at easyJet, you will actively promote easyJet’s routes, services and stories throughout the airline’s regional bases across the UK as well as defend the airline’s corporate reputation when necessary.

This position reports to the UK Corporate Communications Manager and is part of the wider easyJet communications department. The Regional Press Officer will be instrumental in enhancing the airline’s reputation and relationships in each regional base, supporting the team in implementing the communication plan in the airline’s regional bases.

You will love news and have proven experience of working with the UK national and regional media for a large brand. With excellent written skills and the ability to create newsworthy events and stories for media around the country, you must be efficient and timely - recognising the urgency and need for a quick response. Your ability to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment, often juggling a number of projects simultaneously, means you are completely comfortable working both independently and within a team.

Desired Skills & Experience
• You must have experience of working in a busy press office environment.
• Airline or transport sector experience an advantage
• Extensive experience of event-led PR and regional media is key
• You must have proven experience of media communications, ideally in a similar role,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Based in easyJet’s headquarters in Luton for two days a week, the Regional Press Officer role requires you to spend much of the rest of your time in the regional bases across the UK and to be part of the out of hours on-call roster one week out of every four.
