EuromoneyFXNews is seeking a reporter to be part of a small dynamic team for its digital publication, which represents one of the most well-established brands in the financial markets.
Euromoney has been a benchmark for the FX industry since 1979, with its annual volume survey forming the best-performance measure of the FX industry’s leading players.
EuromoneyFXNews.com is an online daily news service that provides insightful commentary on the foreign exchange markets and on the industry that turns over $5 trillion a day, the world’s biggest financial market.
The scope of its coverage is broad, covering everything from global macro economics and the sophisticated technologies that drive currency trading today, to using derivative strategies to bet against currency movements.
It also owns unique FX market data that allows for analysis of global currency flow trends, which tell subscribers where they should be employing their resources, as the global economy and the resulting capital flows continues to evolve from west to east.
This is a career where the right candidate will get an insight into what drives the global economy and how financial markets operate into today’s electronic-driven world.
-Reporting on the latest developments in the foreign exchange markets, producing as many as three stories a day;
-Assisting in the production of digital stories, illustrating them with graphical representation of themes, and publishing them online;
-Using all social media outlets to distribute story headlines, and monitoring the effectiveness of numerous outlets;
-Interviewing key participants in the FX industry and writing profiles that are insightful to industry participants;
-Seeking out story ideas and pitching them to the editor for further development.
-Strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to seek out and develop new sources, and make numerous phone calls throughout the day to collect information and conduct interviews;
-At least two years’ news-reporting experience, preferably in financial markets journalism, though that is not essential.
-Ability to work quickly in a real-time environment
-Web-editing, posting and software knowledge
