Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm

Job & Person Specification

Implementation of marketing strategies
Detailed knowledge of a wide range of marketing concepts including social media

Strong interest in arts marketing preferably film festivals or film distribution

Strong commercial and sales ability

Strong communication including written skills

Ability to build audience databases

Creative and dynamic ‘ideas’ person

Ability to work within a small team

Ability to work under pressure and with a variety of suppliers

Well organised, flexibility individual relishes the opportunity to be involved in the planning and implementation of a live, national art event

Job Detail

Marketing Strategy and Plan- Implementing a segmented audience and marketing strategy whilst maintaining the integrity of and further development of the UKJF brand

Partnerships - Liasing with key organisations and networks that can reach out effectively to new networks and audiences. Nurturing existing relationships as agreed internally.

Database- Implementing new ways to expand the various audience databases of the Festival and use of the data as part of the marketing plan.

Website - Maintaining the integrity of the brand through the website.
Writing copy and creating new content.

PR - Regular liasion with the PR companies to running online and printed editorial coverage campaigns. Ensuring timely provision of all materials required by the PR companies. Attendance at regular weekly meetings with PR companies

Newsletters - Planning schedule of newsletters in accordance with the marketing strategy.
Writing newsletter copy and distribution to agreed schedule

Printed Programme - Preparing some copy and working with the Marketing Manager on production

Social Media- Development and implementation of an effective social media campaign to be carried out by external social media agency.

Advertising - Assisting and preparing copy and design for advertising and securing same for print programme, online and onscreen

Sponsorship - Assist in securing of sponsorship

Sponsorship in kind - Assit in securing sponsorship in kind particularly to minimise expenditure on festival guests and hospitality. Securing products for opening gala goodies bag and guests packs
