Bloomberg Media Group is seeking a Night Editor to join its television team.
Duties include monitoring stories, creating/quality controlling content and coordination with New York and Hong Kong bureaus to ensure material is brought to air in a timely manner. The person in this role will use their impeccable editorial judgment, familiarity with video, understanding of the integration between linear television and web and mobile products, and ability to break down complex material into simple terms to set editorial agenda.
Shift time: 11pm - 8am
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Recent & relevant live TV newsroom producing and editorial experience in business and financial news, including control room show elements
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
-Knowledge of financial markets and business news
-Strong editorial judgment and ability to work under deadline pressure
-Strong writing, video and video editing, and digital integration skills
-Flexibility with hours and ability to work a rotating shift (am/pm/overnight) is required.
