VOGUE.COM is seeking a talented Fashion Editor to join its busy online team for a maternity cover contract. Expected to cover everything from the day’s must-see celebrity style and biggest red carpet events to the season’s key trends, the successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the fashion industry; the ability to work to tight deadlines and write quick, succinct copy; the confidence to attend events for VOGUE.COM to gather exclusive stories and quotes; and the grammatical skills to sub-edit their own work and the work of others.

You will be responsible for all events coverage, so the ability to recognise fashion labels at a glance is an imperative, as is an extensive contact book. An eye for the day’s biggest fashion stories and best-dressed stars is required to ensure that the homepage is consistently current and stylish; that our social media is enticing; and that all the site's galleries are newsworthy and fully updated.

Working in the exciting and fast-paced environment of an online team means an unflappable nature is essential, as is experience of online publishing and a firm grasp of social media – ranging from Facebook to Pinterest, Tumblr and Twitter.
