Research Editor – Retail Week
A senior role at Retail Week, one of the leading B2B titles in the UK, has arisen to lead its fast growing special projects output, including its contract publishing and research products.
Retail Week is the leading information and insight brand for the UK retail industry, serving the market across print, digital and live events. EMAP is the business-to-business media division of Top Right Group, whose market leading brands also include Broadcast, Construction News and The Architect’s Journal.
Reporting to and working closely with the Editor in Chief, the Special Projects Editor will lead the team producing the brand’s commercially led reports and content. They will expect to:
Work with the commercial team to develop the special projects unit and output to deliver growth
Liaise with clients to develop content plans for commercially-led editorial
Edit commercially-led supplements and research reports
Manage the special projects team
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong knowledge of the retail sector
Possess outstanding editorial skills with a bias for analytical writing
Strong project management skills
Have the ability to work quickly and accurately with an outstanding attention to detail
Have a calm head and a determined and amiable personality
Be comfortable talking in groups, seminars and presentations
Be an outstanding leader of people and projects
Have a strong commercial sense and understanding of the role of research in the editorial mix
