Wedding and Wedding Flowers magazines, Art Editor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the design team of Wedding and Wedding Flowers magazines. Following their relocation from London to the Colchester-based head office of Hubert Burda Media UK, these prestigious titles are looking for a talented Art Editor to head up the busy design team. This is a hands-on design role, and requires proven design skills and demonstrable creative ability. Candidates must have a minimum of three years' experience in a Senior Designer or Art Editor role on a consumer title, with a thorough understanding of magazine production processes and sound knowledge of InDesign and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Key aspects of the role include but are not limited to designing the cover and internal pages of each issue, designing any supplements and promotional material to the same high standard, ensuring the house style is adhered to, working with the Editor to continually develop the visual identity and design style of the two magazines, ensuring schedules and budgets are met, working with and overseeing the rest of the design team to ensure a continual flow of layouts, and liaising with the repro team to ensure pages are ready for print.
