The British Association of Social Workers is the leading representative organisation for social workers in the UK.

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Editor capable of playing a significant role in the publication of BASW’s monthly magazine for members, Professional Social Work (PSW), as well as the Association’s e-bulletins and online material.

The successful candidate will join our busy communications team, based in central Birmingham, forming an integral part of efforts to offer BASW’s members engaging, topical and stimulating content.

As Deputy Editor you will be expected to bring with you a strong journalism background, including familiarity with news and feature writing, as well as editing and sub editing skills. Experience of working in-house, writing for a membership audience, would be an asset.
