Our client is a consultancy specialising in the aviation, travel and transport sectors. An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Account Director to join their talented, ambitious team, working in stylish offices in the home counties.
You will play a hands-on role in managing several of our client’s largest accounts and supervising the work of initially two junior consultants. You will also be closely involved in new business activities, and, working closely with the managing director, will be in a position to make a significant impact on our client’s work and success.
We are looking for someone with excellent B2B/corporate experience in the aviation or travel sectors. As a key requirement you must have superb writing/editing capabilities – our client produces written work of a very high quality, and you will be expected to uphold these high standards. You will also have a strong track record in client account management, media relations, and supervising junior staff.
You will be able to understand and explain complex topics, and will have an outgoing, confident manner with clients and journalists, and will demonstrate creative flair in developing story angles and programme ideas. You will have a positive, can-do attitude, professional pride and attention to detail, as well as great organisational skills. Journalism experience would also be of interest.
