Reporter, Lawyer 2B
Lawyer 2B, the market-leading sister title of The Lawyer aimed at law students and trainee lawyers, is looking for a tenacious and accurate journalist with excellent writing skills to produce compelling news and feature articles for print and online.
A legal qualification is not required, but an interest in the law as an industry is crucial. It would suit someone with a background in business journalism with a passion for in-depth investigation of the legal market and the challenges facing those seeking entry to it.
The reporter will be required to make contact with senior members of leading education providers, law firms, barristers chambers and other legal service providers, as well as engage with the student and trainee population. The successful candidate should have energy, flair and strong interpersonal and team skills and be able to generate a strong list of ideas and contacts. He or she would be expected to represent Lawyer 2B at a variety of functions, including the magazine’s own events.
At a time of unprecedented change to the legal market and with the title undergoing a redesign there is ample scope for the right candidate to make their mark in this fast-moving market.
The magazine is based at Centaur’s central London offices, near Oxford Circus.
