Our client is an award winning international cruise line. They are looking for a Head of Public Relations to ensure maximum positive exposure for the brand, for a maternity cover period of 9 months.
The role of Head of PR will involve:
- developing a strategic communications plan to ensure proactive positive coverage
- generating creative PR campaigns for ship launches and product developments
- manage and give direction to a PR agency
- develop and implement a rolling media contact strategy
- undertake a rolling programme of events
The ideal Head of PR:
- might currently be working within a PR agency on a range of travel/leisure clients and wish to make the move in-house, or could be working within the travel indstry and wish to take the next step
- must understand brand positioning as well as consumer and lifestyle media, and have excellent media contacts
- will have experience of managing an agency and event management
- would ideally have previous experience of crisis and issues
- will have excellent social media skills
- may have experience of working for a US company or a large matrix organisation
