Stylus is the only business-to-business creative intelligence resource that provides cross-vertical content for more than 20 consumer industries – from retail, product development (home, industrial design, fashion, beauty), technology and gastronomy, to hospitality, advertising, architecture, sports and more.
Our global content is researched and analysed by a team of industry experts with strategic and commercial insight into these consumer industries. We are looking for an Editor for our new Marketing & Branding section (the role is ideally full time but we are open to part-time contracts).
This position is a hands-on role, requiring previous experience as a writer and editing copy. Exceptional organisational skills, research ability, flexibility in covering numerous topics and – above all – the enthusiasm to help develop one of Stylus.com’s key content sections are essential.
The Marketing & Branding section will expand on our existing marketing content, providing Stylus subscribers with insights and expert global analysis on Advertising & Marketing, Visual Identity, Digital & Tech innovations and Consumer Behaviour. This section will highlight the marketing strategies that inject fresh energy into a business, reflecting innovations in digital, brand identity, consumer behaviour and the creative industries.
The Editor must have specialist knowledge and significant experience working in many of the areas covered in this section. You will have expert, globally-focused knowledge of the marketing industry, an analytical mind and strong writing skills.
You will support the Managing Editor – Culture in planning content for this section, constantly bringing fresh ideas to the table. You will be expected to write, commission and edit reports and develop larger Concept direction under the guidance of the Managing Editor.
Applicants should have an address book full of relevant contacts, a passion for the creative industries, and the vision needed to explore current and future directions in marketing and branding.
Applicants should show commercial understanding of Stylus.com’s business. The ability to transition to an online b2b environment must be demonstrated. The flexibility required when working in a young, dynamic online business and with a growing global team is also essential.
Please send a cover letter, CV and details of your current salary to fiona.harkin@stylus.com. Please also include writing samples and a list of five feature proposals you think will be of interest to Stylus subscribers.
