The award-winning Sentinel of Carlisle, Pa., has an opening for a general assignment reporter with a minimum of one to two years of daily newspaper experience.
We're looking for someone who reports and writes from a reader's perspective and understands how the internet has changed reader expectations. Promising recent college graduates with quality internships or campus newspaper experience will be considered.
Applicants should have a track record of solid enterprise and beat reporting, productivity and initiative. A bachelor's degree is required. The ability to turn stories around quickly is a given. Multimedia skills ' or a strong interest in developing them ' are a plus. Night shifts and weekend work are part of the job.
