PAID INTERNSHIP WITH LEADING MEDIA COMPANY, EC4 – 3 MONTHS MINIMUM
This economic and political journalist role supports the editorial team in producing news and features content for the specialist financial market served by StrategicRISK. It is an editorial role spanning the web, a monthly print magazine, and special reports. The main elements of the job are editorial research, market research, and writing. It would suit a second-jobber who can demonstrate a nose for a story and the ability to make content sing. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced editorial environment, working on print and interactive web-based products.
Skills and abilities:
Strong written English
Experience of, or interest in, business, financial services, b2b content
An aptitude for editorial research, and for making editorial judgments. Examples of when they have shown these could include academic essay-writing, or student journalism.
The ability to articulate why they are interested in financial journalism
A passion for web publishing
Experience of HTML coding would be an advantage but isn’t essential
Qualifications:
Any degree, 2:1 or above
Demonstrable experience of working with figures, especially financial data
Journalism qualification, or relevant editorial or other work experience
