Trainee/Account Executive - B2B Technology

We're after a bright, enthusiastic candidate with a demonstrable desire to work in a B2B tech agency.

To be considered for this Account Executive (or exceptional Trainee Executive) role, applicants must have a good degree (minimum 2.1) and at least 2 A-Levels graded B or above.

Other requirements are being able to demonstrate that you possess basic PR skills and have a good knowledge of media relevant to their tech clients, and have a reasonable understanding of their clients technology sectors.

As an AE, you should be starting to make greater contributions to your account teams, coming up with suggestions for PR activities and, over time demonstrate greater understanding of which ideas are appropriate/workable and which are not. Client contact should also be increasing.

As a Trainee Account Executive, you’d be an active member of the account teams, carrying out media relations activities albeit under close supervision. TAEs are expected to learn from their mistakes, complete pieces of work to the best of their ability with good attention to detail. They should also start to develop the basic PR skills, an understanding of clients’ technology areas, and good knowledge of target publications.

Typical tasks would include:

* Drafting press releases

* Feature pitching

* Article placement

* Case study development

* Profile pitching

* Social media

* Issues development (speculatively pitching ideas, writing media alerts, responding to topical issues in the media)

* Client liaison, client meetings, conference calls
