For 21 years, Advocate Media has been developing award-winning, neighborhood-oriented content read by more than 200,000 Dallas residents each month. Our dedicated readers look to us for the stories that daily newspapers and regional magazines aren't interested in publishing.
We’re searching for an Advertising Account Executive who can help us continue to grow by representing us to potential advertisers and sponsors in our targeted neighborhoods. You'll have the opportunity to call on small and mid-sized businesses, agencies and even some national accounts.
We prefer an experienced sales rep looking for a better opportunity with a growing company, but we'll consider a beginner who can demonstrate knowledge of journalism and willingness to work hard. You'll need good time management skills as well as the ability to service existing customers, but this is primarily a job that involves soliciting new business.
Compensation is commission-based, but the right candidate will receive a base-plus-commission package. We also offer medical insurance, stock options and a good working environment with lots of flexibility to do the job as you see fit. Income potential is unlimited, but you can expect to earn $25,000 to $30,000 in your first year, and eventually more than $100,000 annually is you're hard-working and effective.
