OnlineAthens.com and the Athens Banner-Herald seeks a highly motivated, multi-talented government/business reporter.
We’ll want you to break political news and report on government issues, plus be the first to know when a new business is coming to town or when an established one is shutting its doors. You’ll also be required to maintain a blog, interact with our online commenters and engage your followers on social media. So, if you’re a professional who loves to be on the political scene, enjoys networking, has a knack for developing sources and is well-versed in all areas of print, online and multimedia, you may be the ideal candidate.
This is NOT an entry-level position. A college degree and a minimum of two years experience in political/business reporting required. Video production, web content management and pagination skills are a plus.
Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
