Published monthly since 1930 by the American Society of Civil Engineers, Civil Engineering magazine—the leading four-color magazine of the civil engineering profession—is seeking a senior writer.
Strongest candidates will have proven track record of achievement in newspaper and/or magazine publishing and will demonstrate the ability to report, write, and edit complex news and feature-length articles. Responsibilities include reporting and writing articles for both the news and feature components of the magazine and editing articles produced by civil engineers. The senior writer plays a critical role in fulfilling the magazine's editorial mission. A bachelor's degree is required in journalism or English and five to seven years of solid reporting, writing and editing in an editorial environment.
