Department: News Editorial - City
Location: London

The Press Association requires an experienced, motivated journalist to write clear, concise and easy-to-follow copy on City, economy and consumer-related stories.

Working as part of a small team, the role involves the fast and accurate turnaround of breaking news stories for the PA's main and City wire customers, who include national and regional newspapers as well as digital customers.

The workload is varied and will cover many of the stories that have been dominating the news agenda in recent months, such as the UK's double-dip recession, the eurozone crisis and reform of the scandal-hit banking sector.

The successful candidate will also be expected to interview chief executives of FTSE 100 companies and maintain a network of key contacts in the City.

Proven experience of financial journalism and working to tight deadlines is essential.
