The Residential Research team offers a full range of research and consultancy services covering every aspect of the residential property sector – both in the UK and internationally.

The team’s extensive skill set covers economic forecasting, qualitative techniques, and econometric analysis among other vital techniques.

We are currently looking to recruit an Editorial and Research Executive to join this busy team.

Knight Frank publishes a number of publications which contain a mix of research and lifestyle editorial and the successful candidate would assist with devising the overall content strategies for these, as well as contributing to them by researching and writing feature-length articles.

Editorial responsibility will include writing, editing, subbing, proofing and managing the production of numerous reports, publications and online projects as well as conducting research by interviews and online surveys and writing articles based on the results.

You will also produce a wide range of content including news stories, analysis pieces, survey results, market commentaries, features, interviews, blog posts, emails, newsletters, intranet stories and features for marketing projects as well as generate content and design ideas for new publications and new ways of approaching existing ones.

Leading activities for Global Briefing, Knight Frank’s news/research/blog site, including editing, content management, monitoring and promotion will be required in this role, as well as working with the PR team to identify new promotional strategies for blog and research content.

You will also write and compile monthly newsletters from Global Briefing and research headlines for the residential division newsletters.

The Research responsibilities in the role will include; working with the head of residential research, as well as the PR and Marketing departments to devise and conduct online surveys, interpret data and indices produced by the analysts in the department, conduct telephone and face to face interviews and use these results to produce concise market reports and press releases.

Once established in the role, the candidate would also liaise with the press and provide market comment to the media in the UK and overseas. They would be supported by colleagues in the department as well as Knight Frank’s experienced PR team.

This is a unique opportunity to develop within the world’s largest privately owned property consultancy, working within a multi-disciplinary team made up of former journalists, property specialists and data analysts.

This exciting and varied position would suit an enthusiastic and ambitious journalist or copywriter with an interest in developing a career in research.

Some experience of writing about residential property and/or the regulatory environment for property development in the UK would be helpful but not essential, however attention to detail, a concise and lively writing style and the ability to analyse data quickly and accurately is essential.

You will have the ability to network and make new contacts as well as a confident interviewing style and fantastic communication skills.

Enthusiasm for multi-media journalism and an interest in editorial design and production is key, as well as a good knowledge of and interest in the property market and economics.

A motivated individual with great organisation skills is also required as well as the ability to work well within a small team, but have confidence working across a large organisation. To make an application, please visit http://www.knightfrank.co.uk/careers/specialist-roles/
