Would you like to combine your love of mountain biking, writing and passion for the web by being Mountain Biking Community Editor/Staff Writer for Future Publishing, the UK's largest mountain biking media company?
You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining a community contact strategy across our website, social media profiles and the wider mountain biking community. For our key mountain biking brands including Mountain Biking UK, What Mountain Bike and ChopMTB.com.
You will be active as one of the faces of our mountain biking brands and write blog posts and web articles showcasing your knowledge and understanding of mountain biking, as well as reflecting your personality and mountain biking interests. You'll plan and write daily articles for ChopMTB.com and act as cover for the web editor.
You'll manage, participate in and promote groups for the brands on other websites such as YouTube, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook and Twitter.. Working with the editorial teams across our mountain biking brands, you will ensure consistency of message and ensure active cross-promotion.
You'll have a passion for mountain biking and a good understanding of the technical aspects of the sport. A flair for writing and experience of writing editorial content for online is essential. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build new business contacts are required. Preferably you will be active in online communities and already have a relationship with the cycle industry.
In addition you'll have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the internet and have some experience using content management systems. Good organisation skills and the ability to plan and schedule your own workload are also required.
