Department Overview
The Editorial Team focus is to ensure the delivery of brilliant daily experiences and is responsible for content appearing across the Yahoo! network. Our leitmotif is “the right thing, in the right place, at the right time”. The team supports the need for localisation and production tasks that are critical for the right product experience. The team is also responsible for defining the editorial voice and ensuring that it is performed in all markets.

Responsibilities
Liaise with Creative Solutions Editor to manage branded content
Work closely with in-house commercial project managers
Contribute to brainstorming sessions
Commission articles
Edit and upload content and videos – liaise with partner sponsors and manage feedback
Source relevant images and manage sites
Work with in-house engineers to build micro-sites
Liaise with senior editors
Working with Front Page team and Marketing teams to get relevant articles promoted


Requirements:
• First class writing skills with good understanding of what makes a compelling story
• Strong editorial background with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English speaker
• NCTJ trained candidates preferable
• Degree level education
• Experience in online journalism
• Intermediate Photoshop skills
• A good understanding of social media (predominantly Facebook and Twitter)
• Quick learner and able to make decisions, multi-task and prioritise in a timely manner
• Experience of managing video content
