We are seeking a Chinese (Mandarin) speaking Sub Editor who is also bilingual in English. The Sub Editor will be required to sub copy that has been translated from English to Mandarin across all aspects of NET-A-PORTER, from the weekly magazine and apps to press and marketing initiatives and printed projects. This is a great opportunity for a hard working individual to join one of the most internationally well respected teams in the industry at a very exciting time in terms of our growth. This language focus is an additional development in NET-A-PORTER’s strategic progress and will allow for more direct communication with some of our customers.

Responsibilities:
• Subbing features: checking accuracy, cutting copy to fit, proofing copy, checking all pages and links for the website, iPad and iPhone apps
• Subbing marketing copy, email copy and general site copy, as and when requiredmanaging the workflow of all copy
• Subbing special projects as required e.g. video, printed projects
Essential Skills & Requirements:
• Chinese (Mandarin) mother tongue
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Good understanding of InDesign
• Working knowledge of Photoshop
• PC and Mac literate
• Some experience of CMS systems would be beneficial
• Able to manage a changing workload effectively to meet daily deadlines
• A good communicator who can work well in a busy team
• Ideally, experience within the fashion, editorial or related industry
