Bauer¹s Parenting Portfolio, encompassing the print and digital versions of Pregnancy & Birth and Mother & Baby magazines, plus the Ask A Mum website, is seeking a dynamic and unflappable Deputy Production Editor to join our busy team.

Responsible for helping produce top-quality content across the entire parenting portfolio, you¹ll ensure all copy, layouts and digital content is produced accurately and to house style, and is delivered on time and on-brand.

Exceptional organisational ability, an excellent command of written English and superb proofreading skills are essential, as is the confidence to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of previous experience at senior level on a national title, be obsessive about detail, and be able to liven up copy, write perfect heads, sells and captions, and inject personality into every page.

The role will involve sending and passing pages for press, so knowledge of Mistral or a similar repro system is essential. You will also be able to confidently manage content for web and tablet editions, and the ability to upload content to the web and generate search-friendly text and headlines would be advantageous.
