Pharmaceutical reporter, BioPharm Insight
The BioPharm Insight journalist team publishes real-time news on the most price sensitive issues in the global healthcare market. We are seeking a full-time journalist in our London office to cover the contract research organization industry.
The successful candidate will be required to cover the pharmaceutical industry from a business perspective, with a focus on the services sector, in particular CROs/CMOs, financing and licensing activity, along with some generics, regulatory and drug/device/diagnostic development coverage.
The ideal candidate will have a scientific background, or a demonstrable understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and R&D landscape. The candidate will also ideally provide past examples of off-diary story generation and investigatory reporting or breaking news, preferably in the sector. Previous experience on a daily or weekly publication is preferred but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication, writing and interviewing skills are required; an extra language would also be a bonus. The successful candidate will also require the ability to work in an interactive, time-sensitive and deadline-driven environment, and will be adaptable to working both independently as well as with a team-oriented reporting approach.
