Bloomberg News seeks an experienced reporter in its London office to break news and write enterprise pieces on dynamic oil markets with a particular focus on covering the European refinery industry. The successful applicant will co-ordinate with colleagues across Europe as well as Africa and the Middle East, to break news on refinery outages and be familiar with the oil-products markets. Language skills would be an advantage as well as contacts in the industry. They will join a seven-person reporter and editor team on oil markets in London.

Knowledge of the economy, financial markets and business is essential. Proven experience of business writing at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable working within a team environment.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

-Experience working in a real-time news environment

-Proven business journalism experience at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred

-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure

- European languages advantageous
