Are you an experienced and talented Production Editor looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Production/Operations Editor to become part of our newly created Yarn Craft Group team, working on market leading titles - The Knitter and Simply Knitting – and other brand extensions.
As Production/Operations Editor you'll be managing the production of print, digital and online content across our yarn craft titles. You'll play a key role in organising the workflow of our knitting products and ensure that they all meet deadlines and are produced to the highest standard. You will be sub-editing raw copy, writing strong copy, rewriting copy and fitting InDesign pages, ensuring that high levels of accuracy and editorial quality are maintained. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to blogs and social media.
We're looking for a real all-round talent who can write, sub-edit and organise the team. You will have proven experience running the magazine production process, an excellent command of written English, a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. You will be keen to write regular copy for the magazine and possess fantastic rewriting skills. An interest in knitting, crochet or the craft market, and/or a willingness to immerse yourself in the industry, is an advantage.
