The Role
Bloomberg News is seeking a Speed Desk Reporter in our Brasilia office to join our expanding team in Brazil. The Speed Desk Reporter will cover politics and economics. Responsibilities of the role include attending press briefings and evening events, monitoring other media, and writing news summaries. The person in this role must have a proven ability to break news, while at the same time juggling a stream of daily stories on tight deadlines. In addition, the individual must have an understanding of economic and political issues and their relevance to corporate developments and markets, as well as an understanding of regulation for different industries and their impact on companies.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of three years of business journalism experience
-Fluency in Portuguese and English
