Immediate Parenting is looking for a talented and inspirational Features Editor to work across its portfolio parenting websites and magazines. As the market-leading cross-media publisher in parenting, Immediate Media Co has a portfolio of six parenting titles including MadeForMums, Babyexpert, Prima Baby & Pregnancy and Junior magazine.
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least two years’ experience as a Features Editor or Deputy Features Editor on a consumer website or magazine, and preferably some women’s lifestyle experience.
You’ll be responsible for commissioning, editing and creating high-quality, engaging digital and print content for mums and mums-to-be. If you don’t currently have extensive digital experience and working knowledge of web analytics and SEO, it will be at the top of your career development plan.
As part of an innovative team structure, you’ll be working smartly across multiple platforms, creating content that will have a number of different editorial destinations, from websites to magazines and apps to live events.
You’ll be full of feature ideas and ultra-resourceful, creating content from a range of online and offline sources. You’ll be quick to identify trends and conversation starters and be determined to lead the way when it comes to breaking and creating must-read parenting stories.
Great organisational and multi-tasking skills are a must. You’ll also need experience of managing and leading a team and have excellent mentoring abilities.
