Further information

Global regulatory risk newswire MLex is seeking an experienced news/copy editor to handle copy flow from its 20-strong European team, and provide partial editing coverage and oversight for copy from the US, Brazil and China.

Responsibilities will include line-editing and occasional write-throughs where required. The successful candidate would also be expected to help develop, unify and enforce the MLex style guide across its coverage to better adapt the output for a global audience.

Reporting directly to the global managing editor, the news editor will also be key in helping to develop recruitment and training procedures for new correspondents and analysts, and should be capable of stepping in from time to time to help manage the copy flow and the news team itself.

The position is London-based, although there may be flexibility to base it out of Brussels. Some travel to and work from the Brussels bureau will be required.

Competitive remuneration for the right candidate.
