LS:N Global covers emerging trends in 14 lifestyle sectors, from beauty to fashion to luxury in all countries, with news, insight, trend features and market reports. Members and clients include several of the top 50 Fortune 500 companies who come to us for intelligent data, expert analysis and creativeinspiration.
LS:N Global is at an exciting stage. The three-year-old division has been expanding its international and multi-media content throughout 2012 and will be extending this further throughout 2013.Joining the team now would mean being at the forefront of a major growth.
Summary of role and responsibilities
The Insight Editor will work within the research and publishing division of The Future Laboratory, LS:N Global. The role is a senior post, working for the LS:N Global editor alongside a visual equivalent.
Key responsibilities
: Managing a small team
: Writing and editing daily, weekly, monthly content, including news-in-briefs, features, presentations
: Commissioning reports from freelance experts
: Liaising with our commercial, design, production and content teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, and to our exacting standards
: Coordinating larger projects such as client presentations
: Presenting occasionally
: Planning speakers and content for client forum days
: Finding new, tenacious journalists internationally to work on the company’s rapidly expanding emerging and BRIC markets coverage
Essential skills and experience
: A background in journalism and trends forecasting
: A burning desire to find, know and understand what’s new and next in consumer thinking and innovations
: Expertise in one of our 14-lifestyle sectors would be useful, but a manifest interest in everything from retail to technology, fashion, beauty, design, luxury, food and beverages is essential
: Experience and interest in presenting
: Ability to multi-task and work across several projects simultaneously
: You may have worked at a respected editorial title or similar consultancy
: Ideally you will have a deep and wide network of contacts across the lifestyle industries
