Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced multimedia editor to create audio and video news content for the Bloomberg Professional service and Bloomberg's Internet and mobile platforms. The position is based in London.


The position requires close contact with other Bloomberg News teams to coordinate news coverage and provide live distribution of breaking news material and corporate events to Bloomberg Terminal customers. The producer should possess technical skills, including use of professional-grade video cameras, digital recording devices and streaming technology, as well as proficiency in video editing. Candidates should also have considerable journalism experience, preferably in business news, with strong copy-editing skills. The candidate must work well in a time-sensitive environment and have excellent news judgment.


Responsibilities: Assist in the production and distribution of video, audio and photo slideshow reports for the Bloomberg terminal and Bloombergs Internet and mobile platforms, as well as syndication partners.

Update and maintain top news pages on the Bloomberg Terminal with breaking news reports about financial markets, general news and sports.

Coordinate news coverage with Bloomberg News teams.

Requirements: College degree (broadcast/multimedia journalism ideal) or relevant experience

Previous experience with creating, editing, updating, packaging and prioritizing news content

Excellent news judgment to ensure material posted meets Bloombergs editorial standards

Exceptional time and project-management skills and ability to multi-task

Self-motivated and works well in team environment

General knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas Pro and Grass Valley's Edius

Graphics design a plus
