Reporter – Swiss Banking - Zurich

The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires are looking for a versatile and talented reporter to cover Switzerland's finance industry, one of the world's leading centres for banking and insurance. The successful applicant will cover banking giants, such as UBS and Credit Suisse, and insurance companies like Swiss Re. Banking secrecy and tax issues remain key issues to be covered.

The post is based in central Zurich, a key bureau in our worldwide network.

The reporter needs to break news and provide in-depth analysis to a global audience. They must write with clarity, insight and precision, often to tight deadlines across our outlets--the Wall Street Journal, WSJ.com, and Dow Jones Newswires. The reporter will also be expected to play an important role in the larger, integrated European financial team that is covering the European banking crisis.

Fluency in English is required. German or French proficiency is highly desirable.
