Solent News & Photo Agency is seeking a talented feature writer/editor to oversee the features department at this busy independent press agency.
Applicants must have solid experience in writing real life features for women’s magazines and national newspapers, preferably with agency experience and a news reporting background.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who can project manage features from inception through to publication in this competitive market.
They will be required to source exclusive stories daily, conduct face to face and phone interviews, confidently pitch to a broad range of commissioning editors and write sparkling copy.
The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be a problem solver with high levels of determination and also able to work on news stories at a national level when required in this 24/7 organisation.
