Sofeminine.co.uk is looking for a dedicated Entertainment Intern.

We need a motivated team player who is obsessed with showbiz, from TV shows to soaps and red carpet gossip.  You’ll know your A-list from your B-list and will be just as interested in Angelina Jolie as you are Peter Andre. From Celebrity Juice, to Downton Abbey and EastEnders, your mates rely on you for all the latest celeb and TV goss and you can’t go a day without getting your fix of insider celebrity news on Twitter and all your fave gossip sites.

You’ll be a graduate who has a natural flair for writing with plenty of personality, a love of digital media and the ability to work under pressure.

This six-month internship is a paid position at our London office and you’ll become a fully functioning member of the team; writing celebrity news pieces, creating celebrity albums, writing soap spoilers and assisting with celebrity focused features as well as supporting the Entertainment Editor with admin tasks.

If you’re looking for your first step into the world of online women’s media and digital editorial then this internship will give you hands on experience at a fast pace.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree (2:1 minimum)
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills
  • Experience in women’s media, ideally online
  • An NCTJ
  • Adobe Photoshop skills
  • A love of digital media
  • A social media habit
  • Creative ideas
  • An awareness of SEO
  • A passion for celebs and TV
  • A celebrity orientated blog
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The attitude of a team player
  • A sense of humour

To apply please send a cover letter and CV, an example of your writing style (published work or a blog post you’re proud of), and a short celebrity news article in the sofeminine style to the Entertainment Editor esme@sofeminine.co.uk by 3rd October 2013. Please note the subject line of your email should read ‘Entertainment Intern’.

Due to the number of applications only successful candidates will be contacted.
