The Week, Online paid internship
TheWeek.co.uk, the website of the UK's most popular current affairs digest magazine, is looking for a full-time editorial intern.
The paid internship is initially for two weeks, with a view to hiring someone for a six-month post.
The right candidate will have worked on his or her student paper and have at least six months relevant experience at a news organisation. He or she needs to be a skilled writer, a quick learner and an efficient juggler of multiple tasks.
A high level of interest in and knowledge about current affairs is essential, as is proficiency in the use of social media. Working knowledge of another language, particularly Arabic or Chinese, is an advantage.
The intern will have the opportunity to write on a variety of subjects, as well as to learn valuable web production skills.
TheWeek.co.uk is produced by a small team of writers and editors. The successful candidate will be given plenty of responsibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a successful, growing website.
