CNN.com International seeks an intern to work in the Digital Features/Special Projects department.
The next placement starts on April 1 and runs until July 1 2014. We are also recruiting for the following intake, starting on July 1 and running until October 1.
Interns play an important role in the daily operations of CNN.com. Primary responsibilities include research, fact-checking and providing production and administrative support. Opportunities to write and conduct interviews will be available depending on ability.
The paid internship will be based at CNN’s bureau in central London. You will participate in editorial meetings and learn how an award-winning online news site operates. Some of our past interns have gone on to work or freelance with CNN.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. You should be detail-oriented, have strong writing and research skills, have a passion for digital media and global affairs and have an interest in pursuing a career in digital journalism. You must have strong communication skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and be keen to pitch in.
Successful candidates will have a love for all things web, a good nose for a story and strong multimedia skills. This internship is well suited for someone who has recently graduated from a Masters in Digital Journalism.
The internship is paid at minimum wage, eight hours a day for a five-day week.
