Digital Look is looking to take on a full- time junior journalist and one intern at its fast growing London operations.

The successful candidate for the first of these positions will hold a University degree in Journalism, Business or Finance, have up to three years’ work experience – ideally in digital media - and be looking to consolidate a long-term career path in the digital financial media and financial services space.

Duties of the junior journalist will include:

  •  Writing financial and economic news stories, sub-editing
  • Support Managing Editor in deployment of SEO strategy (training will be provided)
  • Using social media as a research / marketing tool (training will be provided)

Duties of the intern will include:

  • Writing financial and economic news stories, sub-editing
  • Using social media as a research / marketing tool (training will be provided)
  • Updating the economic calendar
  • Support for the editorial and media staff
  • Uploading photos into CMS – SEO

The compensation packages are competitive, but dependent on candidates’ experience, track record and skills, starting at 23,000pa for the junior journalist and up to 10,000pa for the intern.

If successful the intern can aspire to a permanent position.   The candidates will be expected to take up the role as soon as practicable, for a period of 6 months to a year (preferably) in the case of the intern.

Full flexibility in terms of schedules, ideally these would be 7am – 3pm or 4pm – 11pm.

Language skills, particularly in Spanish, would be an advantage.
