Law360, an online newswire for lawyers, is looking for an accomplished reporter/journalist to join our growing team of London reporters.
The reporter will write three stories a day on developments in UK financial services litigation, policy/regulation and legislation. Topics will range from the Libor trial to the Financial Conduct Authority's latest enforcement actions to the European Union's capital markets proposal. Searching and pitching stories will also be part of the role. While prior experience covering the law is not necessary, excellent news judgment and analytical skills are required to excel in this position.
The role will involve working with a dynamic and growing team, led by the former London managing editor of the Wall Street Journal. In the position, you will talk to senior lawyers, financial regulators and policymakers as we tackle the biggest UK and EU financial news stories of the day.
What we need from you:
- Undergraduate degree in Journalism or related field
- Accomplished and paid, full-time reporting experience
- Demonstrated reporting, writing and analytical skills
- Interest in business or legal news
- Experience and commitment to contact-driven journalism
