Senior Editor required for innovative web project

If you like cars and enjoy being involved in successful, growing projects you could be the person we need for a senior job on our new website for the Volkswagen Group (VWG).

Haymarket Network needs a dynamic, self-sufficient Senior Editor to work with VWG on the new retailer websites we are building for them and to drive expansion into new areas of communication with VWG’s networks.

This exciting editorial role is at the centre of communications between the world’s largest car company and its retailers in the UK and you’ll help develop an industry-leading platform with exciting new functionality.

You’ll help the VWG brands coordinate everything from new quarterly tactical finance campaigns to detailed information about new car launches.

The Senior Editor’s job is to make sure everything on the site is concisely and engagingly written, absolutely accurate and given appropriate prominence. That means we need people with impeccable journalistic credentials. Much of the content is also produced in collaboration with VWG specialists and senior managers, so our editors also need to be able to talk to and negotiate with people at all levels of the business.

The successful candidate must also be capable of building the role to include imaginative new editorial initiatives and to develop relationships with senior managers in the business.

Full training will be provided but experience of using content management systems would be an advantage as would a background in website analytics.

You will be based at the VWG headquarters in Milton Keynes and in addition to the usual excellent Haymarket benefits you will have use of cars from the Volkswagen Group range – our team members are currently driving cars such as the Audi A3, Volkswagen Polo GTI and ŠKODA Superb.

To apply please send a CV and covering letter to Carl Rodgerson, Editorial Director, Haymarket Network (Volkswagen account) by completing the application form below by 21 October.
